Work while Studying in the US

Many of our programs require practical training in the form of a practicum, which consists of actual work experience.

  • Curriculum Practical Training (CPT) is for students who are currently studying in their degree program. CPT is available to International students on the first day of their program since CPT satisfies the practicum requirements in the academic program.
  • Optional Practical Training (OPT) occurs after graduation and is limited to 12 months; 24 month extension is available for STEM fields. (STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math degrees)
What makes our program unique?
